IZZA Marrakech

Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were incredible every time, and the New Year's party was a real highlight. We felt looked after from start to finish. The staff were friendly, skilled, and clearly proud to work at IZZA. We spent five nights at IZZA over New Year as a married Australian couple in our 40s. We'd researched places in the Medina and were so glad we chose this one. The Riad has beautiful, carefully curated artwork and thoughtful decor, food, and atmosphere. Walking through the Souks to Jemaa el-Fnaa took us about 25 minutes. A very memorable stay, and we can't wait to return.

We were surprised how quiet it was, even inside the walled city and just five minutes from the medina entrance. Once we'd picked up a few landmarks, getting around was fairly easy. The hotel's car transfer was simple too, dropping us within 50m of the door. The room was great, with a mezzanine, private deck, and plunge pool. The bed was very comfortable, storage and lighting were good, and there was a nice coffee machine plus daily snacks and water. The shower and toiletries were good, and WiFi worked well in both the room and bar. We ate at the restaurant several times and enjoyed the food and service each time. We also tried local wines and cocktails on the rooftop bar. The place never felt crowded. With 14 rooms, they seem to have the balance right. A lovely welcome and tour of the facilities, excellent staff, and high standards throughout. Worth paying a bit extra for the quality and fit out.

The location, just beyond the main centre, was a welcome relief. We loved the snug library and all the plants on the rooftop, and there was plenty of shared space. Breakfast was delicious with a good range, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the edible treats left in our room each day. The drivers recommended by the hotel were excellent. Everything was beautifully presented, with immaculate attention to detail and very high quality throughout. Our room, Cecil, was a little small, though the bathroom was generous.

We were staying at a nearby riad and stumbled across IZZA while walking by. From the moment you enter, it has a real wow factor. They warmly invited us to see the art exhibits and facilities, then enjoy the stunning rooftop restaurant. We came back for an incredible massage in the beautiful spa, and they also let us use the heated pool with our 5 yr old and dine at the restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. This is the Riad of your dreams. Thanks so much to the manager and team for such wonderful hospitality. We'll definitely return to stay in future.
