The breakfast selection was excellent, and the hotel is beautiful, with a nice, spacious room and a great location. All in all, we had a pleasant stay. The hallway carpets were soaking wet, and when the roof leaked in the rain, they put out a bucket. It didn’t smell moldy, but I think removing the carpet would be better. It also makes rolling luggage hard to move.

We paid an extra €200 for a second room for two people, so the high price set expectations the stay didn’t meet. Breakfast was the main reason we wouldn’t return. The hotel is busy, especially when there are conferences, and the breakfast room can get extremely crowded. There are plenty of coffee machines, so there aren’t long waits, but the coffee is poor. The so-called fresh juices, like orange and carrot, taste artificial, watery, and too sweet. It’s frustrating because a jug of hand-pressed apple-banana juice shows that good fresh juice is possible. There’s also an open fire in the breakfast room, so it gets smoky. We were there at the end of January, when mornings were cool, around 17°C outside, and the room felt uncomfortable rather than cozy. We stayed a full week, Tuesday to Tuesday, including a weekend. It’s a fairly posh, very busy hotel. The building feels a bit tired, though the rooms are spacious and generally fine. The beds were firm and comfortable, and room service and cleaning were consistently excellent. The heated pool, around 28°C, was a real plus, and having towels there was convenient. For us, the outdated feel, disappointing breakfast, and prices that don’t match the quality outweigh the good beds, clean rooms, and pool. We wouldn’t choose it again, since we couldn’t start the day with a good breakfast.

The heated outdoor pool was a highlight, and Kenzi Rose Gardens was fairly well maintained. Staff were consistently warm and friendly, always greeting us with a genuine smile. The breakfast team handled the morning rush professionally. Manager Hanan was especially kind and supportive, and it was nice to see her working closely with the team. By the pool, Mohammed, Hamza, and Ayoub were approachable and made an effort to chat with guests. Soufiyan at reception also greeted us warmly and checked in with us. Breakfast between 9 and 10 a.m. can get hectic, so time slots could help spread out the crowd. We also had a few small maintenance issues. Water clogged in the sink, and it still hadn’t been fixed after we mentioned it a couple of times. A nice stay overall, and a few small improvements could make it better.

The location was just right for a relaxed break, with the Medina about a 30-minute walk away. The gardens were lovely, with lots of birdsong, and the pool area was nice, with a heated pool. Restaurant staff were welcoming. We booked a week for our anniversary. At check-in they called our room an upgrade, but it was a triple. We asked to move to a king room and were shown one where someone had clearly been smoking, so we stayed put. On the first day the shower gel was empty; we asked for it to be refilled, but it never was. The carpets and floors weren’t cleaned very well. Don’t take a taxi from the rank outside. They say they “work with the hotel” but charge more than double what you’d pay by hailing a cab after walking 20 meters down the road.
