Le Farnatchi

The Medina location was great, but the rooms and facilities didn’t feel like five-star quality. The front desk staff also came across rather cold. We’d stayed at Riad Fes in Fes and Eden in Dades Valley, and both were dramatically better. For the price we paid, I’d probably stay somewhere else next time.

Breakfast wherever and whenever you like was a lovely touch. We had ours on the rooftop, which felt special, and the communal areas were gorgeous from every angle. The food was exceptional, and all the recommendations we received were just as good. Walid welcomed us warmly when we arrived and showed us around the beautiful riad. Our room had high ceilings, a luxurious bathroom, and a private courtyard. Service was among the best I’ve experienced: everyone greeted us with a smile and was ready to help. The heated rooms were a big plus on cool December nights, and I loved the big fluffy towels. We didn’t use the spa this time, but had a look inside and it seemed wonderfully luxurious. It’s on our list for next time. We can’t wait to return!

Once inside, the noise of Marrakech fades away. Le Farnatchi feels intimate and luxurious, with calm, refined suites, beautiful Moroccan craftsmanship, and impeccable service. The food is exceptional and the attention to detail faultless. A special, understated sanctuary in the heart of the Medina, and one of my most memorable stays in Marrakech.

The restaurant and spa were both first class, and we loved staying here. It’s charming, cozy, refined, and peaceful, just a few minutes from the Medina. The staff were amazing and took great care of us. One evening they even escorted us personally to a nearby restaurant. It wasn’t necessary, but it was a lovely touch.
