At 9 PM, after we had stayed in contact with the riad right up to our arrival, we were shown into the lobby and told they had overbooked. My reservation was apparently worthless. I travel a lot, and had never had a hotel make such a shocking, unprofessional mistake and only tell me once I got there. They then left us to find somewhere else ourselves, with all the stress and risk on us. They wouldn't cover the cost of a reasonable hotel either. They said they would pay the difference, but refused when we asked about a €150 hotel and insisted we find somewhere cheaper. Their instructions for canceling through Booking.com were wrong, which caused more trouble, and they did nothing to help sort it out. In the end, a manager at a neighboring hotel stepped in and resolved things for us. That hotel's staff were professional and sympathetic. The manager was shocked and said a proper hotel would book guests into a five-star place if it made this kind of overbooking mistake. Travel problems happen, but the way a hotel responds says a lot. I don't know whether this riad often treats guests this way, but our experience was the worst. After traveling around the world, I can't recommend it. Avoid it at all costs.

The location made this a great stay, right in the Medina near shops and restaurants, but on a quiet stretch where we could sleep well. Staff were friendly and ready to answer questions, and I really liked having breakfast included each morning. Thanks, AbdulJalil, for all your help. I'd happily come back and recommend the Riad to other travelers.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, with squeezed juice and tea or coffee, and the room was spacious, cleaned every day, with good WiFi. We were welcomed with tea when we arrived, along with useful tips for getting around the city and things to watch out for. The manager and staff were approachable, friendly, and very helpful throughout our February stay. The accommodation is right in the heart of the medina, within walking distance of everything we needed in Marrakech. I couldn't recommend it more.

I stayed at Riad Sun Week from 24/06 to 05/07/2023, and this is a review I only just remembered to write. The place is right in the heart of Medina, and the hygiene was especially impressive: the cleaners turned the whole place upside down almost every day. Abd AlJaleel at reception was one of a kind, attentive and, simply put, a very decent man. The hospitality from him and the staff was among the best I've come across. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marrakesh. Five stars all the way.
