The staff were lovely and helpful, and the location is close to important tourist spots, so I’d recommend it for that. I liked that there’s no TV in the rooms, which were otherwise okay. I visited in December and found the rooms very cold. I’d suggest putting more rugs on the floor for winter. Breakfast was served outside, which wasn’t pleasant for families in the cold, and it was mostly carbs with almost no protein.

I wrote similar comments on booking.com, and after we left, the hotel cancelled my booking and claimed we hadn’t shown up. I think they did this so our comments wouldn’t affect their rating, which I don’t think they deserve. The reception staff were friendly, but the location was in a horrible area and I didn’t feel safe taking my family there. Lots of buildings nearby were knocked down or in rubble, and we barely saw locals walking those streets, which made it unpleasant. At night there was a smell of burning plastic outside, though that might only have been while we were there. The main lobby looks nice in the photos, but the rooms seemed tired. Some rugs were a bit dirty, and the hair dryers had exposed cables. The linen was nice and clean.

The staff made our stay special, treating us and especially our children, aged 4 and 6, with such warmth and care. Everyone we met was gracious and accommodating, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome as a family. Riad Ciel d’Orient is a peaceful, charming escape from the bustle of Marrakech. It’s stunning and immaculately maintained, with authentic Moroccan charm. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

We were met outside at the mosque and guided to the parking, then the team helped carry our bags on the short walk to the Riad. They welcomed us with mint tea and biscuits, gave us a map and local suggestions, including a wonderful restaurant we went to that evening. The place is beautiful, the rooms comfortable and warm, and breakfast on the terrace in the morning was great. The staff were lovely. Highly recommend!

Said and Mustapha were the best hosts. They answered all my questions and did a lot to accommodate what I asked for. The Riad is beautiful, and the staff helped make it a great place. It was my first time staying in a Riad, something I’d had on my bucket list. Breakfast was a letdown: the choices were limited and the portions small. I’d suggest adding eggs. The bed wasn’t great either. I asked to change rooms because of the mattress in my first room, and Said upgraded me, thanks again. Soundproofing could be better too. On the first night, I woke up to two lovebirds upstairs being rather loud while doing the deed.
