The Pavillon du Golf

We celebrated my birthday here in February, and it was wonderful. The food was amazing, the service top tier, and everyone was so friendly. Tariq deserves a special mention. The pool was beautiful and quiet, the rooms were clean, and the bed was so comfortable that I had the best sleep. They’re expanding the hotel, and I hope to come back next year and see how lovely it’s turned out.

My phone slipped down the steep bank into the lake. It had important personal and work information on it, but staff couldn’t retrieve it or offer meaningful help. There seemed to be no proper equipment or clear process for dealing with this. The lake is very close to guest rooms, and its bank is steep and slippery, with no visible warning signs, barriers, or other protections. That seems especially dangerous for children and could easily lead to an injury. For an area of water so near guest access, the lack of precautions and preparedness is unacceptable. When I tried to raise the safety issue, staff were unhelpful and unprofessional. I was repeatedly told a manager was coming, but nobody arrived. I called more than 15 times and was promised a callback that never came. It felt as if they were avoiding responsibility instead of dealing with a legitimate concern. I would strongly caution families with children and anyone concerned about safety. The lack of professionalism and accountability was very disappointing.

We had a great stay in February. The pool was clean, spacious, and quiet, and the hotel sits beside the pickalbatross golf courses. The grounds were very well maintained by professional groundsman, and the food was lovely too. Our room had a refrigerator and hob, but no cooking utensils or spoons, so we bought essentials like milk and coffee for the week. Tariq was very hospitable, as were all the reception staff. The service was perfect, especially from Tariq and Abdellah, who were amazing. The hotel was very clean, with great views from the rooms overlooking the golf course and pond.
