Riad Cocoon

We stayed in the Nirvana suite, which we’d recommend for its big rooms and private rooftop terrace. The Riad is beautifully finished in a contemporary Moroccan style with traditional touches, and it’s in the medina near the souks. The main square is a short walk away, but the place still feels calm and removed from the bustle. Corinne was in touch after we booked, helping with holiday plans, excursions, airport transfers, and useful advice. When we arrived, Abdul introduced himself and said he was at our service, and he truly meant it. He and Jamaal handled everything from restaurant bookings and taxis to food and drinks, always available and smiling. The hospitality was faultless, the food delicious, and the Hamann experience with Jaminetta (sorry for the spelling!) was unmissable. We don’t know when we’ll return to Marrakech, but we know where we’ll stay. Thanks again, Corrine and team.

We’ve come back to Riad Cocoon several times over the last decade, and there’s a good reason it remains special to us. Corinne and the team make it feel personal. She knows Marrakech and the area inside out, and really helps you settle into the city. Jama and Abdo are warm, friendly, and ready to help with restaurants, taxis, transport, excursions, recommendations, and more. The service feels more complete and personal than at many pricier hotels, and they make you feel like part of the family. The medina location is central, safe, and on the edge of the souks. Most of its lovely cultural sights are an easy walk away. It can take a little practice to find the Riad, but that’s part of the fun of the Medina. Inside, the place is stylish, comfortable, and designed with personality. The quiet, clean rooms are all different and relaxing. There’s a small but well-designed hammam, and Aminata’s treatments are excellent and very good value. Hadija’s menu of Moroccan classics is consistently among the best food we’ve found in Marrakech. Dinner on the terrace at sunset is always a great idea. Thanks, Corinne and everyone at Cocoon, for another wonderful stay. We’ll see you again.

We joked that the service made Riad Cocoon feel like our own private "Mamounia". It’s a beautiful, peaceful, well-kept place with four rooms, and Corinne guided us through everything. We had spa treatments there, enjoyed a great home-cooked dinner, and booked an amazing private trip to the Atlas Mountains, just the two of us with the driver and guide. Jamal, Abdo, and the rest of the team took such good care of us and went above and beyond. It’s a real gem.

We saved Riad Cocoon for the end of our Morocco trip and stayed two nights in November 2023. It was the best for last: stunningly beautiful and a sanctuary from the busy city. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Corinne put together recommendations just for us, which really helped make our Marrakech stay great. We had the Nirvana suite and ate dinner on the terrace both nights. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the Riad Cocoon.
