Riad Dar Grawa

We spent 18 days at this riad and were sorry to leave. From the first day, the people running it made us feel like family. For maintenance, we'd rate it 4 out of 5, but the atmosphere and cleanliness deserve a 10. Meriam and Fatima at reception during the day helped us with everything, from excursions to finding a shop or place in Marrakech. Mr. Rachid took over in the afternoon and made sure we felt safe at night, then served breakfast on the charming roof terrace in the morning. Noima made a tasty, varied breakfast, and Mary kept the riad clean every day. She even made little towel animals, which were lovely to find on the bed. The riad is close to restaurants and the market Jemaa el-fna. We’re so grateful for the stay and would happily return. We miss you all. Big hugs for Liz and Knut.

We had to leave this riad in the middle of the night and move elsewhere. After a three-night break, we returned to a different room that was so damp my partner and I started coughing uncontrollably and couldn't breathe comfortably. The room had been heavily aired and incense burned before we got there, which seemed to hide the smell at first. A few hours later the dampness became overwhelming and the room was uninhabitable. I had originally booked four nights in total, one night followed by three more after the break. I had several problems with this riad and would avoid it.

The team made our first stay in Morocco feel perfect, and I hope this review gives people some idea of how much we appreciated the riad. Thanks again to everyone. We hope we can see you soon.

It took a little figuring out how to find the place, since there was no sign visible from the street. Once inside, it felt quiet and cool, a welcome break from the heat and noise. The riad was well maintained, and the breakfast was okay. Service was alright, though I expected a bit more at 75 EUR a night. It's about a 10-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna.
