Riad Dar Tayib

My original reservation got cancelled, so I booked this place at the last minute. Vincent and his wife were amazing, generous hosts, and the room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast and dinner were great too. Finding the Riad is a challenge. If you've just arrived in Marrakesh, ask them to escort you from your drop-off point, since taxis and cars can't drive in.

We decided to spend a day and night in Marrakech before flying home, and made a last-minute Air Bnb booking. Vincent and his partner were perfect hosts, friendly and helpful from our earlier-than-expected arrival right through to arranging a taxi to the airport. The Riad is well placed for exploring the Medina and further afield. The streets are a maze, so I'd take pictures of your route out 🤣. Coming back after a day of exploring felt like finding an oasis. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Marrakech.

Rachid gave us such a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. We tried the cuisine on our first evening, and it was fabulous, came in a minute, and tasted delicious. Our room is on the top floor and we really love it. A very good stay all around, and we'll be back soon 🤙🤙

The courtyard is shady and calming, with trees, birdsong, and a little fountain. Upstairs, the roof terrace has two levels, a canopied lounge below and sun loungers above, with views across the city. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, with soft edges and gentle colours. It's a peaceful hideaway right in the medina. Vincent and Latifa are warm, helpful, and interesting hosts, and the food is excellent. Feels like my home from home in Marrakech.
