Riad El Borj

The dinners were especially delicious, and the lemon chicken was the best we had on our whole Morocco vacation. Breakfast was tasty too, with sweet items, cheese, butter, yogurt, fresh bread, orange juice, and fruit salad. The coffee was so good we'll remember it. The riad's greenery, orange trees, and birdsong put us in a good mood each morning. Even with cold, rainy weather, our room was warm enough, with hot water and clean towels changed daily if needed. The Wi-Fi was strong and never interrupted. Ali was always ready to help and packed breakfast for our early excursions. When a flight schedule change meant we needed to stay one more day, the owner, Daniel, was very understanding. Staying here felt like a dream come true. If we return to Marrakech, we'll choose Ryad el Borj again.

The resident cat and breakfast on the terrace were highlights. This beautiful Riad is close to the main square, yet feels like a peaceful oasis. Highly recommended.

Many thanks to the responsive staff. The breakfast was good, though eggs, omelettes, and some vegetables would have made it perfect. In the intense heat, being able to swim in the cold pool was a real blessing. The one downside was that the pool was at another riad nearby. This is a beautiful, quiet place, and stepping in from the noise and bustle feels like entering another world.

I wish I could have stayed more than one night at Ryad El Borj. It wasn't easy to find, but inside it was beautiful and calm. I arrived after a very disappointing desert trip, then Daniel and Ali welcomed me so warmly and I had a hot shower in the lovely room. I felt human again. The room was clean and beautiful, and I think it had recently been renovated. Ali said they regularly work on each room to keep everything well maintained. The breakfast was the best I'd had in Morocco so far. I'll definitely return to this amazing Ryad on my next visit to Marrakech.
