Riad El Filali

We were so glad we booked two nights here. My partner and I are traveling around Morocco in our van with our little dog, who is old, can't walk for too long, and doesn't enjoy crowds. We wanted to see Marrakech without having her with us all the time, so we chose this riad after seeing it was listed as pet friendly and confirming that before booking. The room was cozy, and the riad was beautiful. Since we're both vegan, we explained what we don't eat at breakfast, and they made us fruit salad and bread with jam. The area felt safe, it was easy to find, and everything was close by. The staff were so friendly to us and our dog, and the way they treated her really warmed our hearts. Special thanks to Khadija, who we spent the most time with. We'd definitely come back if we return to Marrakech.

We had a really nice stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and breakfast was delicious. I'd recommend this Riad to anyone traveling to Marrakech.

The courtyard in the middle was peaceful and serene, and the rooftop terrace was a real sun trap, lovely and warm in the sun. Breakfasts were nice, with a bit of variety each day. Although the riad is a little walk from the central square, we found it fairly easy to get around the medina once we'd worked out the main route. Our room was on the ground floor, which we were glad of since we didn't have to climb stairs. It did have a bit of a damp smell, perhaps because it was partly underground. The entrance is tucked into a little tunnel, and I'm glad our friend who picked us up from the airport called someone to meet us at the car park, as we might have struggled to find it otherwise. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Our room was on the top floor, decorated very nicely in a Moroccan style. It had a large, comfortable bed and lots of little lighting details. The bathroom was exceptionally beautiful, and there were so many WiFi access points that the connection worked better across most of the riad.
