Riad El Ouarda

We were there for five days in September and would gladly recommend it. Although the location is very central, the courtyard stays peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was simple but really good, with fresh juice, fruit, coffee, tea, and a different kind of Moroccan bread each day. The staff were welcoming and consistently helpful, and they took care of our requests right away. Our room was cleaned daily, too. A wonderful stay.

This is an adorable riad, with such sweet, attentive service. It’s a few alleys in, so solo female travelers should keep that in mind, but the walk to the medina is a good distance and the area is generally calm. I felt safe inside, and someone opens the door for you when you come back at night. There’s even heating for the colder months.

Susso was so friendly and helpful, and made my last night in Marrakech a great one. I loved the rooftop, the morning breakfast, and the cool room. The atmosphere was peaceful, and reading by the pool was lovely. The barn door is a bit fiddly if you want privacy, but I felt safe once padlocked in. There’s fantastic Moroccan street food nearby, including tacos. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main square, so not right in the center, but easy enough. One thing, Google Maps put the entrance a street past where it really is, so watch out for that.

The homemade food was delicious, and the staff were welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The place itself is a real beauty, full of Moroccan character and lovely design details. Every corner looked like it belonged on Pinterest, perfect for photos 😅. It felt elegant but still authentic, and like a haven of hospitality. I’ll remember this stay for a long time. Thank you 🩷
