Riad et SPA Misria Les Orangers

The riad is beautiful and sits right in the heart of the Medina, making a perfect base for exploring. The rooms were fantastic, the staff very accommodating, and everything felt just right. We were so glad we chose it. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the massage was excellent.

The host, a young gentleman, was very friendly and accommodating, and suggested some lovely places to see around the city. Breakfast was filling and decent, with traditional Moroccan dishes. The heated pool was a nice bonus. Our room was spacious and clean, though the water pressure in the shower was quite low and made washing difficult. Bring mosquito repellent, even in December ;). It's a very nice riad in central Marrakesh.

We spent four lovely nights here in June. The hosts went out of their way for us, including arranging two early breakfasts. Each morning we ate on the rooftop terrace among the flowers, plants, and birds. There was fresh orange juice, coffee, pancakes, bread, jam, and fruit, with eggs available too. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. After sightseeing, we used the pool and sun terrace in the late afternoon. Once we had the whole roof terrace to ourselves, which felt like being in a private villa. We didn't get to try the spa, though we would have if we'd stayed longer. The riad is in the middle of the Medina, near Ben Youssef mosque and square. We got a little lost at first, then learned to use Ben Youssef square as a landmark. Jemaa el-Fnaa, the 'big square' with its busy, touristy atmosphere, is a 10 minute walk away. Restaurants, cafes, and souks are only minutes away. Like most restaurants, the riad is unlicensed, so we bought a bottle at duty free and had an aperitif on the rooftop each evening while watching the sunset. On our last day, the hosts arranged a transfer from the riad to a taxi waiting outside the Medina walls. Marrakech is a full-on feast for the senses, and this riad was a calm, peaceful oasis.

The rooftop pool was a welcome break from the heat, and there’s another pool downstairs too. We loved our room, and the staff were kind and ready to help. Even arriving late, we got a fantastic welcome. Breakfast on the roof was fabulous. A lovely riad right in the middle of Marrakesh.
