Mohammed was a great host, very, very helpful, and the riad can also arrange trips. It's a quiet place near the medina, about a 10-minute taxi ride from both the airport and the new town. The place was clean and tidy, and breakfast was decent and filling. The rooms are a little worn compared with other riads and the TV didn't work. The bed was somewhat hard, though not terrible, and the air con was a plus. The bathroom was the main letdown: the shower had poor pressure and sometimes the water ran out altogether. It's decent enough as a place to sleep while you're out sightseeing. If you want somewhere to hang out during the day or have a pool, it probably won't suit you. It could use some refurbishment and care, but the host made our stay easier.

For a traditional stay, I'd highly recommend this local riad. It was a great Marrakesh experience, and Mohammed was an exceptionally helpful host who gave us excellent tips on food and places to visit. Whenever we needed a taxi or some help, we could WhatsApp him and he'd reply within minutes. I couldn't fault his service.

Mohammed and his staff were fantastic. This is a traditional Riad in the old town, close to the centre, with clean sheets and towels and good food. If you want a resort atmosphere with a pool and waiters, it isn't the place for you. We arranged our own airport transfer and were able to choose our room when we arrived. They welcomed us with traditional Moroccan tea and gave us a map marked with places of interest. Staff can organise trips, but we made our own plans. We did ask Mohammed to arrange a Scooter, though, and spent the day exploring local villages and towns in the atlas mountains. A real Moroccan experience.

The staff made the stay brilliant, always so welcoming and helpful, and each morning's breakfast was fresh and lovely. The location was ideal for exploring the area. Riad Fatouma was a pleasant place to stay, with clean and comfortable rooms and cosy beds that made for great sleep. The shower and facilities could use some work, and a small fridge would be handy since it gets quite hot. Even with those couple of improvements in mind, we had a very enjoyable stay.

It was only a short taxi ride from the airport. Our host gave us a very warm welcome, was informative, and offered to help arrange excursions. The medina is just a 10-minute walk away. I'd highly recommend it. 🙏
