The staff were polite and helpful, ready to arrange taxis or day trips and suggest restaurants. Mohammed in particular was very courteous and supportive. The rooms and bathrooms were comfortable, very clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good, with both local and international options. The property is inside the Medina, about a 15-minute walk from the main square, but away from the noisy area around the square and souks. The decor was tasteful and matched the website photos.

At $250 USD a night, this was extremely overpriced for what it offered. I’ve stayed in Morocco many times, and this was by far my worst hotel experience. The owner was rude, and I felt unsafe and uncomfortable throughout the stay. I was relieved to leave and would never return. The hotel is a joke, and I’d tell people to avoid it. The air conditioning barely worked and didn’t cool the room. The fan was dusty and unpleasant, the bed squeaked and was uncomfortable, and the confusing light panel made switching the lights on and off frustrating. The pool was very small, and the location was inconvenient. My airport pickup was late, and they blamed it on my flight arriving early. If they charge for pickup, they should track the flight. They said they’d do something “nice” to make up for it, then later said that meant early check-in, a cup of tea, and drying my clothes. They had already offered those things before mentioning compensation, so it felt insincere, as if I was being asked to pay for their goodwill.

I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms are very expensive, and the pool is badly placed with little privacy. Breakfast was the same every day. It’s a small, boring riad on a noisy street with lots of traffic, cars and bikes, and it feels as if you’re not in the old Medina. The main square is a 15-minute walk away. 👎🏻

Mohammed was especially great, and the staff were all lovely. The Riad is beautiful and good value for money. We had a wonderful stay and definitely recommend it.
