Riad Oasissime Marrakech

We had the entire riad to ourselves and felt right at home. The woman running it was lovely, resourceful, and always available to meet guests’ needs. Her team, the cook and the guy who handled everything else, were wonderful too. Whenever we went out or came back, there was mint tea. We had a very nice dinner there, though the wine was terrible, so next time I’d choose a Casablanca beer. Breakfast was always tasty, with handmade bread and waffles. Each room has its own style, inspired by a Moroccan city or landscape. The riad is well located, just two steps from the main square and between two hammams. You can buy groceries nearby and there are small restaurants around. I’d definitely recommend staying here, but I’d avoid having the owner arrange a tour, since those cost more than finding drivers yourself and contacting them directly.

A few minutes’ walk from the chaos around Jama el Fna, you open the door into a calm little oasis in the middle of boiling Marrakech. The people are the nicest, smiling, most hospitable hosts. Breakfast was excellent, and one evening we bought a really good homemade couscous, along with a little wine. We had a lovely week here and hope to return. My best recommendation.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the team were attentive and very polite. I had a great stay and would happily come back.
