Riad Olema et Spa

There are thoughtful touches of nature all around the property: birds in the garden, a tortoise wandering slowly through the courtyard, and friendly house cats that fit right into the calm atmosphere. Breakfasts were especially good, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance too. Riad Olema & Spa has a striking interior, with elegant Moroccan architecture and soothing, stylish decor. It’s well placed for the medina, souks, and main square, but inside feels peaceful and tucked away. The team are warm, attentive, and happy to help, which made us feel at home. Our bedroom was comfortable and beautifully designed, with details that made for a restful stay. The facilities were great, especially the spa and quiet courtyards for sitting and unwinding. It felt like a hidden sanctuary in the city.

Hakim was especially delightful and helpful, and the whole team made us feel welcome. We had a gorgeous room overlooking a peaceful area and pool, enjoyed spa treatments, and spent time relaxing on the lovely roof terrace. Breakfast was delicious every day and set us up well. The facilities and atmosphere at Riad Olema and Spa were wonderful, and the staff were so friendly and ready to do anything for us. We’re counting the days until we can visit again. The only real plus was being close to bab doukkal, with a short walk to a taxi. My room was damp, and the sheets weren't dry either. It took them over half an hour to get the room ready after the scheduled check-in time. Service was decent, but about what I’d expect for $120 a night. I wouldn’t recommend it. The decor is minimal, without much of the vibey look people often seek, and the facilities are subpar. It didn’t seem like a place I’d bring a partner or family member.

We loved staying at Riad Olema & Spa in early December. Our Junior Suite (Chourouk Côté BELDI) felt warm, cozy, and quiet, with a boutique character instead of a generic look. We were met at the airport, then welcomed at the riad, where the team explained everything clearly and helped us settle in. The staff stayed friendly and attentive throughout, always smiling and ready to help. Special thanks to Akin. Dinner by the firepit on a cool evening was a favourite moment, and breakfast there the next morning was just as lovely. The heated pool was a treat in December, and the warm rooftop jacuzzi was perfect after walking around the city. The location made it easy to explore key areas on foot, then return to a calm, relaxing space. Highly recommended for comfort, warmth, and genuinely caring service in Marrakech.
