Our ground-floor room was humid and uncomfortable, though the other rooms looked better. The pool isn’t heated, but the outdoor space is pleasant for relaxing. The riad’s central spot in the middle of the medina made getting around easy. Most staff were kind and helpful, though a few moments were frustrating because of miscommunication.

The staff made Riad Terra Bahia feel special. Rida, the two Abduls, and the women serving breakfast and turning down rooms were all diligent and clearly cared about their work. The rooms were comfortable, with good air conditioning and soundproofing, and I slept very well. The terrace has dining and lounging areas, with views over el badi, its storks, and the surroundings. Snow-capped mountains were visible in the distance. Inside, the decor is tasteful, the lighting is good, and the scent of spices greets you as you enter. The food was excellent, and breakfast was my favorite meal of the trip, with lots of variety. Before we arrived, Michele communicated well about check-in, arrival times, and meals, and arranged an airport taxi at a reasonable rate. The location is excellent for walking to the old city landmarks. At the square, Mr Rida met us, welcomed us with mint tea, shared local pointers, and gave us a printed map. We had a wonderful stay and definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was top, and the dinner we had at the Riad was fantastic too, very typical Moroccan food and the best tajine ever. The staff were so kind and made us feel at home. It’s a peaceful oasis in the city, a great place to get away from all the chaos in Marrakech.
