Riad Yara

The staff were helpful and polite, and the riad was decently clean and well located. Still, I wouldn’t recommend it. Our room, number 6, felt like a self-built box just below the rooftop terrace, and the shower smelled of sewage. Kitchen noise woke us at 8am, and when people used the rooftop stairs, the whole wall shook, making it impossible to relax. There was no air conditioner, and the fan didn’t work. I asked to move because we could see another room free on the second floor, but the host said the riad was fully booked. That room stayed empty throughout our stay, which we could clearly see. It may not be a bad place, but it definitely wasn’t a five star experience.

The place is authentic, quiet, and easy to find, with an excellent location in the medina. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was roomy, and the bed was comfortable. They cleaned the rooms every day, and breakfast was very good and different each morning. The people working there were friendly, kind, and super helpful. I’d recommend staying here if you want to be in the medina.

Right beside all the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, this is a nice riad. The couple who run it are warm and welcoming, and make the best mint tea. They don’t speak English, but know a little French. Breakfast was good too.

It was okay.
