I really liked that the riad was a little away from the busiest part of the medina. It felt calmer, while the city center was still only around 10-15 minutes away. The rooms were comfortable and air-conditioned, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and more than enough to start the day. One thing to know: there’s no accessible rooftop terrace, despite what some older pictures and reviews show, because of the neighboring royal palace. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it :)

The photos on Booking were completely misleading. The place looked so different that we thought we might have arrived at the wrong riad. Our room had no exterior windows, there was noise all night, and at one point it was actually raining inside. We didn’t get the breakfast we had paid for either. They said to request an early breakfast a day ahead, but when we did, we were abruptly told, “the boss doesn’t allow breakfast before 8 AM.” The staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful, gave us no information, were hard to find, and showed no interest in assisting. This was the only bad part of our trip, as everything else in Marrakech was amazing. The stay was far from what we expected and didn’t meet even basic expectations. I don’t recommend this riad.

Othman welcomed me and helped me the whole time. He’s a nice guy with a big smile. The rooms are nice and sparkling clean. Try to book one on the first floor, since two rooms are beside the breakfast area. There are no external windows in this Riad.

Mohamed really made Riad Zanouba feel welcoming. He’s kind and caring, and goes out of his way to make sure guests feel looked after. He can help with navigating Marrakech’s busy streets, local recommendations, and arranging unique excursions. His attention and genuine hospitality give the place a personal, home away from home feel. The riad is a peaceful, authentic spot right in the heart of Marrakech, with traditional Moroccan charm, beautiful decor, cozy rooms, and an intimate atmosphere. The intricate tile work, soft lighting, warm tones, and comfortable rooms make it easy to relax. It feels like a lovely blend of comfort and culture. Mohamed is more than a typical hotel manager, he’s the heart of Riad Zanouba. Guests often appreciate his willingness to help with anything and the personal touches that make their stay memorable.

The Medina location was great, with a peaceful, authentic feel. Riad Zanouba is beautiful, and our room was clean and cozy. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.
