The family running the hotel gave outstanding service. We arrived early and they let us leave our bags in the luggage room, then brought tea when we got there. Breakfast was filling and very good. Room 4 had no outside-facing window because of the building’s layout, and since we were there in April, the roof over the courtyard was covered. We stayed four nights and loved it. It’s in a fantastic location, and I’d recommend it to budget travelers. One thing to plan for: they charge for a city taxi when you leave, though they do have a card machine.

The staff’s warm welcome and useful suggestions for sights and places to eat made our stay at Dar Yanis especially nice. They even held our luggage while we went sightseeing after checkout. Rabat exceeded our expectations: we loved the waterfront, the Kasbah, Chellah, Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and wandering its charming streets. Most sights are an easy walk away, and we had a delicious dinner at Café El Bahia on the team’s recommendation. The central location made exploring simple. We’d happily recommend Dar Yanis.

I was glad to find plenty of warm water, especially on cold winter nights, and the location is very central for exploring Rabat. The cleanliness also reassured me. After checking out, I was the only guest around while waiting for my train, and watched the staff thoroughly clean every room. The hospitality was hard to put into words, and you can tell the people there do it with love. I highly recommend Dar Yanis and would book here again when I return to Rabat.

The staff were kind and friendly, and my room was very clean and well cared for. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was very good too, though a little expensive compared with prices in Marrakech.

A lovely breakfast and a superb terrace to enjoy coffee. The staff were incredibly kind and the local hospitality was wonderful. It’s perfectly placed for exploring the old shopping district.
