Courtyard by Marriott Chisinau

I had a wonderful time at Marriott, and the staff made our days there even better. Everyone was professional and kind, but I especially want to thank Liviu for being so caring and thoughtful about what guests need, always one step ahead. He greeted us with a big smile and a positive attitude every time. Great job, everyone! -Anastasia

We booked three rooms on the second floor for three nights with family. I’m a Marriott Gold Elite member, but the hotel said it was full and couldn’t move us higher up. The breakfast, elevator traffic, and parking all seemed quiet enough, so that explanation was hard to understand. The first night, loud party music started up and the walls shook while people shouted. We’d just arrived in Moldova and were exhausted, but the noise went on until around midnight. In the morning, reception apologized and said they’d speak to the manager. They assured us there wouldn’t be another party during our stay. The next evening the music came back, even louder. The shift manager apologized and said there were no rooms on higher floors. She promised it would stop by 11. After 10, it paused briefly, and fruit and wine were sent to our rooms. Then the music started again and continued until midnight. Another fruit plate arrived the following day. A hotel should let paying guests sleep quietly. It felt like extra party income mattered more than that. I can’t say how quiet the other floors are, but I wouldn’t take a second-floor room or rely on promises that no party is planned.

The room was clean, the hotel feels new and is very well kept, and the reception team were among the friendliest and most helpful I’ve come across. Breakfast was outstanding. There were a few letdowns with the extra bed I’d paid for for my son. I emailed the day before to make sure it would be ready because we’d arrive late, but it wasn’t in the room. When it did arrive, it was half broken. We’d booked for three people and found just one disposable slipper, too.

The staff were professional and really helpful, and the food was amazing. I stayed for a month and had the best experience. The atmosphere was great too. I’d highly recommend it.
