Urban Apartment Nr89

After telling the host a week in advance that we’d arrive around 11:00 PM, I was told late check-in would be possible for an extra fee. The reservation was active, so I thought everything was arranged. But when we got there at about 11:00 PM, the host refused to let us stay and sent us to another hotel run by his friend. It was farther from the city center and cost more. We also found out we couldn’t pay by card, even though we’d previously been told we could. In the middle of the night in a strange city, we were left with almost nowhere to go and had to find another hotel ourselves. I’d never had anything like this happen. The host’s behavior was ridiculous and completely unprofessional.
