The value for what we paid was excellent. As budget travelers, we hadn’t expected so many comforts, and we’re grateful to the host for making our time in Podgorica so pleasant. The host was kind, attentive and polite, and helped with all our questions. Those warm people made us feel at home. Our cozy room had a balcony and everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable, as were the large shared kitchen and the lovely terrace beside it. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and all the equipment we needed to cook, and everything was tidy. At first the homestay seemed a little far out, but the parks and city center are about a 20-30 minute walk away through a pleasant neighborhood. There are shops and cafés nearby, plus a new modern residential complex that’s nice to walk around. A public transport stop and a large local market are also close by.
