The restaurant food and service were the best part for us. The meals were excellent, and there aren’t many good food options outside the resort, which seems to be common throughout Madagascar. The gardens are nice and we had plenty of privacy, but the resort is 5 km off the main road, so it feels a bit isolated. The bed and pillows are hard. June was very cold, and there are no heaters, so bring lots of warm clothes and a raincoat if you’re visiting in the off season. This was the most expensive resort and dining we’d had so far during our five-week trip.

The garden and big, lovely house made our stay special, with comfortable beds and a terrace that was perfect for sunrise views. We heard the indri indri in the woods too, which was magical. The food was delicious, and it was the cheapest check on our trip. Paying by VISA was easy, and the hospitality and service were wonderful. We had a delightful stay and highly recommend it!

The gardens are gorgeous, and the fresh food was excellent. The location is peaceful, and the staff were super nice and kind, with great attention to detail. One of the best hotels in Madagascar. Highly recommend!

Breakfast wasn’t good, and I’d suggest trying the local restaurants instead. They’re much better and cheaper. The nights were so cold I couldn’t sleep, since there’s no heater. I moved to a room with a stove, but it burned wood and went out once I fell asleep. I woke before dawn and couldn’t get back to sleep properly.

Waking up to the sound of Indri was amazing. The resort feels tucked into the forest, with big, well-spaced bungalows, a fancy restaurant, and carefully kept communal areas. The room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant food was delicious. The 5 km of bumpy off-road driving to get here was worth it. The breakfast needs work. At 40k Ar per person, croissant and bread with honey and jam plus fresh fruit felt too expensive for what was offered.
