Avamada Lodge

The rooms were spotless, with comfortable beds and nice modern bathrooms. The manager arranged good airport transfers, and breakfast was great too. A great place by the airport for a short stay between flights.

We rented a day room for our 1am flight. It's quiet, safe, reasonably priced, and conveniently close to the airport, with a pool. It's a lovely family-run place, and he's an excellent cook. We'd definitely stay again.

The weak WiFi only worked properly when I stood out by the pool patio, and the pool water looked brown and grimy. In the room, which was comfortable and clean, the shower was rusty and dirty with its glass door missing, and the bidet didn't work. There was no air conditioning or heat, even though it was 50F. Breakfast was included, but the coffee came barely warm, the bread and croissant had been reheated, and the juice was boxed despite fruit being plentiful there. The little restaurant and bar served decent food, but it was far too salty. This place is worn down and nowhere near a 4 or 5 star hotel. I'd only stay at Avamada Lodge if I had no choice. I'd rather spend twice as much for the basic comfort I expect, and I won't come back.

M. Parfait was a friendly, helpful host, and the Zebu steak was the best. The place has three clean, pleasant rooms and a pool in lovely, quiet surroundings. WiFi and airport service are included, and the airport is only 10 minutes away. We stayed for a few days both before and after our flights. It worked out perfectly.
