Guest House Les 3 Metis

The location is central and easy to get around from, and it’s good value. Staff are kind and helpful. My room matched the website photo, though it was pretty small with little space to move around. There’s a safe, which is a plus. The road outside can be noisy, but it gets quiet at night because there isn’t much neighborhood traffic. Across the street, the gas station has a small shop with the basics, including a little bakery, and there’s a taxi stand right outside the hotel. Keep in mind there’s no AC in the rooms.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with some of the best food we’ve had in Madagascar. We’ve stayed here twice on our trips, and each time the hotel has been clean, safe and comfortable. The beds were the comfiest we’ve slept in while here, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. It’s a comfortable base for a night or two.

The food was super, and I felt really welcome. It’s a comfortable place to stay, with extremely friendly, helpful staff. I really enjoyed my time here.

The restaurant is fantastic, with great specials and live music in the evenings. It’s also a handy spot for exploring Tana: the market is within walking distance, and there are good supermarkets and a Maki shop nearby.
