Solun & Spa Hotel

The rooms were spacious and quiet, and the staff very friendly. The location was perfect, close to everything, with a taxi stand right in front of the hotel. Breakfast had a lot of variety, but the quality of the individual items wasn’t great. In my opinion, the spa is very basic and pricey, so not worth the money. I was happy overall and would come back.

The room was fairly nice, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was included and very good. But arriving by car was a mess: there was nowhere to park while checking in, and my car was towed within minutes. Staff should be ready to open the gate when guests arrive. The night manager handled it poorly and acted like it was our fault the valet team hadn't been told we were coming. My Visa card was also rejected, which had never happened to me before, and apparently other guests had the same problem.

We spent three nights in the riverside building. I wasn't sure about the location when I first saw it, but the room changed my mind. It was spacious, clean, and had a nice view of the river. The reception staff were friendly and very nice. We'd recommend the hotel to our friends.

I was told by email that I would get a refund, then later heard it had been sent to the bank. I followed up, but after that they stopped responding. It's now been over 40 days with neither the money nor an answer. That feels seriously unprofessional and hard to trust. The stay itself was disappointing too, since the hotel didn't provide proper beds for the children even though I'd clearly requested them in advance.
