The Villager Lodge

We enjoyed our stay. The lodge is set back from traffic and noise, down a bumpy lane off the main road that isn’t clearly signposted. There are several restaurants close by, and the beach is just across the road, where guests can use the lodge’s bamboo umbrellas and chairs. A few bikes are free to borrow for exploring or reaching other beaches. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with a large shower and toilet, air conditioning, a kettle and coffee, TV, and free WiFi. Breakfast on the rooftop veranda was lovely, and the accommodation was good value.

We had a great time at the lodge and will definitely come back. The owner and staff were lovely, very friendly, and always helpful. The roof terrace, surrounded by a tropical garden, was a nice place for the tasty, generous breakfast. Rooms were clean, and there are plenty of good seafood restaurants nearby. A perfect spot for relaxing days at Ngapali Beach. I’d recommend it to anyone.

We’ve just finished our second stay and are already looking ahead to year three. We’re still not sure whether it’s the empty white sand beaches or our Home Away From Home that keeps bringing us back. The surrounding area feels beautiful and unique, and surprisingly untouched by major tourism. It’s a tropical paradise waiting to be discovered. Villager Lodge has the same warm hospitality and friendly smiles we found throughout Ngapali. It’s tucked into a quiet neighborhood, about a minute’s walk from the beach, and has what you need with the service you’d expect. With new hostels opening every month in town, Villager Lodge still exceeds expectations.

We liked the welcoming, helpful staff so much that we extended our stay. The place is really good value, with a clean, nice room, TV and movie channels, and a well-equipped bathroom. It’s a couple of minutes from the beautiful beach, with restaurants and shops nearby. I’d highly recommend staying here.
