The Emerald Sea Resort

The Emerald Sea is my favorite hotel in Ngwe Saung, and I’ve stayed there two times in a row. The rooms are excellent, the pool is great, and the food is top-notch, especially the breakfast buffet. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and go out of their way to help. I wouldn’t choose another hotel unless I had to. It’s the best in Ngwe Saung. My little dog Pan Pan is welcome too, and they’ve been incredibly accommodating with him.

A relaxed place for a proper break, with a calm atmosphere and good value. The service is great, and the staff smile, help out, and make the stay easy for families and solo travelers alike. There are lush gardens and paths that lead straight to the beach, with shaded loungers by the pool and on the beach. Security keeps an eye on guests and their belongings. The Beach Bar has comfortable spots to sit and unwind, and staff bring over food and drinks when you order. Breakfast is included in the room price, with lots of options to suit different tastes.

The spa therapists gave me some of the best massages I’ve ever had, and the service exceeded my expectations. The grounds are romantic, the rooms are nice, and the people are friendly. There’s a lovely beach with sunbeds and parasols and easy access to the water. The bathroom facilities are a little dated, but still work well enough.

I visited nine years ago, and it’s still my favorite overseas destination. We even added a few days to our stay because we loved it so much. The staff were all kind and helpful, and the food was amazing. You have to try the fresh-caught lobster. The location is second to none. The pool is beautiful, though I spent hardly any time there with the ocean right next to it. There are beach huts and reclining chairs, and people walk by with fresh coconuts to drink.
