The staff are what made our three nights at Chatrium Hotel stand out. They helped arrange transport and restaurant bookings, and put in a lot of effort for our daughter’s 10th birthday. We’ve stayed in many hotels in many countries, but this team really went the extra mile to make us comfortable. We were there as a married couple with our 10-year-old daughter from Germany. The spacious rooms and lovely public areas, including the pool, were well maintained, with a classic style and a real Myanmar atmosphere. The hotel grounds felt like a safe haven, something the few remaining expats appreciate, and that must be difficult to maintain given how far from ordinary the situation was in 01/2026. If you’re coming to Yangon, Chatrium Hotel is an excellent option.

The meals were a highlight for me. Breakfast through dinner was fresh, tasty, and well prepared, with a good range of dishes and ingredients that really stood out. Even a quick snack was consistently good. I also found the hotel warm and inviting, with a lovely design and a comfortable feel. Everything seemed thoughtfully looked after, so it was an easy place to relax. A pleasant, memorable stay, and I’d recommend it.

The Wi-Fi was a little unstable at times, and some services slowed down during busy hours. Those were small issues, though, and the rest of my stay at Chatrium Hotel was great. I especially liked the clean, comfortable room and its beautiful view. The facilities were excellent, particularly the pool and the breakfast buffet with its good variety. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. The location was convenient and easy to reach for either business or leisure. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it. I’d be happy to come back.

The Lobby Lounge was peaceful, with lovely views of Kandawgyi Lake, and the staff were attentive and friendly. I tried the Earl Grey, which went especially well with the desserts. The tea list had an impressive mix of classic and aromatic blends. The High Tea Set at Chatrium Hotel Yangon came on a classic three-tier tray, a nice touch for the afternoon tea feel. There was a good spread of sweet and savory items, including fresh pastries, delicious macarons and fruit tarts, plus flavorful, balanced mini sandwiches and quiches. The portions were just right, so I could enjoy everything without getting too full. It’s a relaxing choice with friends or for a special occasion. The food, service, and serene setting made this one of the best high tea experiences in Yangon for me. I’d recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

The coffee was rich and really well made. I had a comfortable, enjoyable time in the cozy, inviting lobby coffee area at the Chatrium Hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive, and their warm service made me feel well looked after.
