Sofitel Inle Lake Myat Min

The grounds are lovely to wander around and relax in, and the resort sits in a very quiet part of the Lake. Security was excellent. We had a lake-view room looking out over Inle Lake, with lovely furnishings, a beautiful bathroom, and a great bathtub. There are two restaurants and a lovely bar by the lake. The location is amazing, and the staff and management were welcoming and very friendly. They made the visit feel extra special.

Our suite had a lake view, a comfortable bed, a beautiful bathroom, and a little living room. There was fruit waiting when we checked in, and it made for a perfect romantic retreat. Some rooms are quite far from breakfast, but you can call for a golf car pickup. I only wish I’d been allowed to drive it myself! Breakfast was very good, and the buffet included traditional Burmese food. The Shan noodles were so good, and there was a dancing show too. Staff were super friendly and attentive throughout. The hotel can arrange trips on Inle Lake, and I highly recommend seeing the sunset with the fisherman. The hotel is right on the lake, about 45 minutes from the airport. Sofitel kindly arranged a car for us. It’s an amazing hotel in a great location, and I’ll be back.

The lakeside setting adds a bit of magic, and the hotel has a very peaceful atmosphere. It was one of the highlights of my trip in Myanmar. Everything felt set up to make guests comfortable and warmly welcomed, with helpful staff and really comfy rooms. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks a lot, Sofitel Inle Lake. I hope I can return someday.

My loyalty to accor was rewarded with an upgrade to a lake-view room with a private terrace. It was a lovely spot to watch the sunset over the lake. The staff were accommodating and made sure we were fully satisfied. The beautiful resort is right beside the lake and has its own pier, where you can set off on a boat tour arranged by the hotel.
