Bagan View Hotel

I stayed four days for a leisure trip. The staff were great, and there’s free self-serve coffee and biscuits all day and night in the lobby by the lift. Breakfast is a daily buffet, though what’s offered depends on how full the hotel is, and the food was good. The quiet neighborhood was pleasant, and the rooftop bar is a nice place to unwind without live music. There’s also a spa. The rooms aren’t fully soundproof, and the Wi-Fi was so weak that I relied on mobile data most of the time. Overall, it’s a nice hotel.

The food at the restaurant was better than I expected, and the staff went out of their way to make our group feel welcome and help with whatever we needed. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the hotel looked even better than the photos. Everything was clean and well kept. Internet was pretty slow, but we had a great stay overall.

The rooftop bar was a lovely place to spend the evening, and at breakfast from 06:30 you can watch the sunrise and Bagan’s famous balloons drift from west to east. My wife and I stayed two nights, and the staff made us feel like they couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious and comfortable, and same-day laundry was very convenient.

The rooftop is beautiful, and happy hour has 1-for-1 drinks from 5-7pm, so check it out. Staff speak English, and there’s instant coffee and tea available around the clock. Our room was clean and had a hot shower. One thing that would help is earplugs, since the wooden furniture can creak when your sleeping partner moves. I still recommend this lovely hotel.
