On my first three-day stay, I had a big room with a living room, mini kitchen, bedroom, and bath and W/C. The ancient decor and Myanmar traditional handcrafts were fantastic, and there was a pool and bar. You can see a wonderful Bagan sunset from the hotel. The food was just normal, though, and they should make it tastier and add more choices.

The room was very clean, including the bedsheets, and I enjoyed my time at this nicely decorated hotel. The European breakfast buffet selection was very good for Bagan. My only issue was the ceiling A.C. above the bed. Whatever way I adjusted its airflow, it blew right toward my head, either directly or after bouncing off the wall. Otherwise, I’m happy to give it four stars.

The rooms are cozy, very clean, and quite nice for the price. All the staff were friendly. There’s also a relaxing spa on the ground floor. The food felt a bit expensive.

The room towels were cheap, and I couldn’t get the in-room safe to work. The pool is good, though not really for swimming lengths, and drinks are pricey. You can watch the ballooning from the roof at 7am.

The hallway smelled a little, but this is still a place to stay in Bagan. The price is decent, there have been more improvements than in recent years, and it’s very close to both the archaeological zone and New Bagan area.
