The food was good, and the staff were lovely, but management let the place down badly. The hotel feels tired, and the pool villa was in that condition too. There was no pool available on Saturday, and the hotel had literally just 5 bottles of beer with no draft beer.

I keep coming back to Pyin Oo Lwin's favorite hotel of mine, so I can say the atmosphere really gets to me. I'm not usually a nature person, but the peaceful beauty still mesmerizes me every time. The kind staff seem to genuinely care about your comfort, and I love the governor house and its colonial, English countryside feel. The rooms are kind of mid, though. But it's Pyin Oo Lwin, so come on.

The grounds feel quiet and spacious, and the staff are very kind and helpful. Some room features and amenities don't work properly and need updating. The landscaping could use better care, too.

The spacious rooms, garden, and location made us like this beautiful hotel, and the overall impression was good. It does need maintenance, though. There was plenty of hot water to fill the bathtub, unlike at Aureum in Bagan. Breakfast could be better. I'd go back.
