Hotel Rich

The setting is handy, right between Pyin Oo Lwin and the beautiful botanical gardens. The park is delightful and a must visit. Our room was spacious, with basic amenities and a very nice hot shower, and breakfast was fine. The staff worked hard and were very kind, but only a couple spoke good English, which made arranging onward travel less straightforward. On our first morning we weren't offered a breakfast choice. Once we saw Myanmar guests getting different dishes, the breakfast staff happily let us change our order and add food. They really did try to meet all our needs. A few practical things could be better: rooms and bins should be taken care of daily, with the water replenished too, though they did bring it when asked. Some bicycles were in disrepair, and having breakfast menus to look at would help. Still, we had a lovely stay. For dinner in Pyin Oo Lwin, I’d strongly recommend Club Terrace. The food, service and prices were phenomenal.

I paid only $5 a night for what turned out to be a private room, which was a budget-travel bargain for my Myanmar trip. The staff were very friendly, the food was good, and the room was comfortable. The bathroom smelled a little, though. Still, I’d recommend it.

I was here on 1 Jan 2018. It’s in a quiet spot, and the hotel was quite nice. My room was spacious, with hot water, and the free internet worked quite well. Breakfast was good too.

The room was pretty good for the reasonable price, and I loved my stay. Service was friendly, and breakfast had a good mix of traditional dishes, European food and fruit.
