Check In @ Downtown Yangon

The staff were helpful, spoke good English, and made communication easy. We first booked two nights at the start of our trip, enjoyed it enough to book again for our last night in Yangon, and I’d stay here again next time. The clean, comfortable rooms met our expectations for the price. It’s also within walking distance of 19th street, where there are plenty of good places to eat.

The location worked well for us: close to 19th Street, aka BBQ street, but far enough away for a quiet night’s rest after the party. At this price, the service is absolutely great. The well-trained staff gave us useful advice, helped book taxis, and stored our luggage after checkout through the concierge. What really blew me away was being allowed to shower at the hotel when we returned before heading to the airport. I’d definitely come back if I return to Yangon. Before complaining about little nitty-gritty things, find me somewhere at a similar price with this level of service.

There’s lots of vibrant local life nearby, with markets, restaurants, and street food, and the location is great. We had an amazing stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and had AC, and the cost benefit was very good.

We really enjoyed our stay. Check out at 12pm was appreciated, and the family who welcomed us were kind and always ready to make things comfortable. They gave us advice on where to go and eat in Yangon, and lent us an umbrella when we needed one. Breakfast was delicious, with Burmese or international options, including Nutella and peanut butter. If you’re booking, we strongly recommend a Superior room with the big window. It’s a friendly place to stay when exploring downtown.
