The location was good, and I liked having a curtain around each bed. Those little sleeping cabins gave me much more privacy. The showers had warm water and were okay, though cleanliness could have been better. Still, I’ve stayed in better hostels in Myanmar, and the low price makes more sense to me now. The air conditioning was freezing at 16C, and there was a constant chemical anti-mosquito smell in the room. I even found a dead bug in my bed, so I moved to another one.

Right next to Sule Pagoda, so the location is hard to beat. It’s a tiny hostel, only 12 clean beds, set up in small, cozy bed boxes with curtains, and the whole place has air conditioning. The owner was friendly, and 8000 kyat per night is a great price. Breakfast was the one letdown, it was very poor.

A neat, tidy room for the money, and being downtown makes getting around easy. A good pick for backpackers.
