Inya Lake Hotel

The rooms felt quite dated and could use a full remodel. We also had a few AC problems, and the lake area needs better cleaning and upkeep. Still, we enjoyed the facilities, especially playing tennis and using the pool most days. The lakeside setting was wonderful and made for a relaxing stay, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Phy Lae Wai deserves a special mention. She was remarkable, always greeting us with a lovely smile and making us feel well cared for. Those things are why I gave it 4 stars, though the rooms need updating.

The rooms really let the hotel down. The wooden furniture is old, the bathroom is poor, and the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. It all feels stuck in the 1990s and badly needs renovation. The grounds are lovely, with a big lawn out front, space to wander, and the lake close by. The pool is deep and great for swimming. Lunch and dinner buffets were fresh, flavourful, and good. Breakfast was decent, though not as good, and there was no cheese. Staff hospitality and customer service were phenomenal, and the gym and sauna were okay.

The room was old, poorly maintained, and below expectations for cleanliness, which made the stay even worse. Service was extremely disappointing, among the worst customer service I've experienced. Staff insisted their system showed one guest and a different rate, even though I had proof otherwise. They wouldn't acknowledge the discrepancy and made us pay an extra USD 12 for breakfast. It was frustrating and unreasonable. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Good food, a great view, and nice service. The room could use more electrical outlets, though. It didn't matter much since I came to relax. Nice hotel, good experience.
