Once the extra bed was finally set up, they added another set of cups and toiletries too. Even with that initial hiccup, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. They also arranged cabs for our restaurant booking one evening. Thanks! Before we arrived, I’d received an email assuring me the extra bed would be ready. It wasn’t when I entered the room, and I had to remind the front desk a few times.

The breakfast had a huge range, with Japanese, Indian, Western, and other stations, and the rooms were comfortable and very well looked after. The service was fantastic too. They did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. One of my best hotel experiences. I’ll stay again if I’m ever in Yangon.

We had a very pleasant stay overall. The location was excellent, the lounge was nice, and our room was a good size, clean, and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. The bathroom was the main problem. The tub has a high rim and was difficult to get in and out of, so a walk-in shower would be better. The toilet didn’t work efficiently, and the sink made an unpleasant noise as water drained.

The staff gave excellent service, and we especially enjoyed our room’s lovely city views and the Horizon Club. The hotel could use some freshening up, though. We stopped in for drinks or dinner at The Strand and Rosewood, and their sense of luxury feels classic yet contemporary.

The staff were professional, caring, and willing to do whatever was needed. Special thanks to Goal Lay for the exceptional help when one of our family members became unwell. Our room was spacious and clean, and access to the club while staying in the club horizon rooms made the visit much more enjoyable. Definitely a place to stay when visiting Myanmar.
