Vacation Hotel

The beds were good, the shower was hot, and the boys were friendly. The receptionist with glasses was a good guy, though he couldn't explain the cleanliness issues. The hallways, stairs, and lift were filthy. There seemed to be no manager during the water festival, with just three or four staff running the place and four or five cooks for breakfast. Yet they couldn't provide toast or fruit, and there was no soup with the Myanmar breakfast. Cleaners didn't come until as late as 7 pm, and satellite TV only had two channels, with a snowy picture. I stayed almost three weeks. Would I return? Sure, for a lower price on a long stay. I'd give it half a star.

This worked out great for our family of five traveling on a budget. The rooms were clean, the beds were large, and the hot showers worked, all at economy prices. Wi-Fi was free too, and there's a next-day laundry service a couple of blocks away.

I stayed for just one day, and it was a great stay. For a three-star hotel, it has almost everything you'd expect from a five-star place, apart from a swimming pool. It's accessible from much of Yangon, and being downtown makes the location convenient. The nearest bus stop is San Pya, and Junction Center is the closest shopping mall. The staff were very helpful, and there are good choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though the food is somewhat expensive. They take cash in kyats or USD, credit cards, and debit cards, and wheelchair access is available. I stayed in a Standard room, where the service and amenities were perfect, and the Premium rooms are even better. Standard rooms aren't very spacious.

Had a great vacation there. The room rate was fine, and the restaurant was locally okay.
