Naran Apartment

The city center was close enough to reach with a short walk, which made exploring easy. I spent several months in an apartment from Naran Residence, and it felt modern, stylish, and fresh, with a bit of luxury. Saran and the management team were attentive and quick to answer my questions, making the stay smooth and hassle-free. There’s a supermarket in the building for most daily needs, and the legendary Hard Rock Café is just an elevator ride away if you don’t feel like cooking. The building also has a fully equipped fitness center, and there are several nearby cafes, including vegan options. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in UB.

We stayed for almost a month. The manager, Sarah, who is Mongolian, told us we could get our deposit back before leaving. Later she changed her story, saying that “they,” meaning Naran Residence, only return deposits after guests have left. She took 2k in cash, saying that would make the return easier, then claimed the company would send the money afterward. It feels like they especially prey on foreigners. Other Mongolian people said the company owner makes female employees carry his briefcase. That is so demeaning!

It’s about a 10-minute walk to the city center, and it was a good place to stay.

The staff were great and the stay was comfortable and affordable. It could use air conditioning in summer.
