Harbourview Hotel Macau

They upgraded me to a connecting setup with two rooms and a living room. It felt fancy and spacious, and I loved it. Out of the four hotels I stayed at during my Asia trip, this was the best by far. The staff were super friendly, and there was even a pillow menu for sleeping needs. The TV popped out of a drawer with an automatic button. The amenities were great, with a shower and a tub, and the pool looked gorgeous. You can borrow slippers for the pool and get free head caps to wear there. There were hot tubs too. Such good value, and it wasn't even that expensive.

The buffet breakfast was a highlight, just 100 MOP and worth it compared with eating outside for 88-100 MOP. The hotel was clean, quiet, and soundproof, and gave the impression of a five-star stay. The room was beautiful in the morning, like a princess suite, with European style and strong air conditioning. They cleaned daily without being asked and left bottled water and slippers. I enjoyed the hotel more than Macau itself. If I return, it'll be for the hotel, not the casino. Too bad we didn't get to use the pool. I will definitely go back. After our whole-day tour, I found the cleaner's inhaler left in the room. That's how I knew someone had come to clean. It looked like a Hong Thai green inhaler, but labeled in Chinese. They should be more careful about personal belongings left behind. The staff were not helpful. At check-in, they assisted only because we asked, with no initiative like at other hotels. Check-out was the same. I spoke directly to one staff member, but he only pointed to the taxi stand and didn't help with our many suitcases. On April 10, 2026, at around 7:40 PM, I asked the receptionist when the last Sands shuttle to the ferry left. She said 10:30 PM, and repeated that time firmly when I checked. The correct time was 7:30 PM. Because of the wrong information, we missed the Macau Bus Open Top Tour and wasted time and energy walking back and forth to the Sands Free Shuttle terminal. If she'd told us the last Sands Macau free shuttle to the ferry was at 7:30 PM, we could have taken a taxi right away and made the tour. That mistake ruined our itinerary. I hate that we were given the wrong shuttle time. Staff should give guests accurate information instead of misleading them with incorrect instructions. The lack of hospitality, initiative, friendly attitude, and accurate shuttle information really ruined what should have been a relaxing stay in this beautiful hotel. Rating: Hotel 9/10, Staff 3/10

The room itself was superb, and the central part of the hotel is nice. I still don't understand how they hire service staff, though. I asked reception whether there was a restaurant or bar on site, and they answered flatly, “NO, AND WE NEVER HAVE HAD THEM.” But on floor M there's the Prague Bar and other establishments.

Jed made my stay especially memorable. He was attentive and friendly, and kept making sure everything was right. His dedication and professionalism made an already great experience even more enjoyable. I'm very grateful for the warm welcome and excellent service.
