The room was comfortable and had a great view, and the beach is an easy short walk away. One thing to watch: follow the road signs on the way in. If you take the wrong direction, you end up on a ridiculously steep hill and have to back down awkwardly when you realize it won't work. Check-in and checkout were the only real letdown. There didn't seem to be anyone on hand who was allowed to manage them. A friendly young man from Boston's restaurant tried to help, and his English was great. My friend’s English is pretty mediocre, but I’m almost certain the problem wasn’t language, just that the right person wasn’t there. After a long trip, we wanted a quick, straightforward check-in. The rest of our stay was really nice.

The location is nice, with a view and close to the beach, but the rooms need work. The furniture should be replaced and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint.

The apartment was a little dated, though it worked fine, and the staff were friendly. The location is perfect. Just be aware that the building sits on a very steep slope, which could be difficult for disabled guests. We were caught off guard by the restaurant not always being open, since we didn't know whether we'd be able to eat there. At first, we ended up eating before heading in or going back out afterward. And the 72 euro tourist tax felt outrageous.

We had a very pleasant stay. The owners were charming and made us feel welcome, and the bedding was really comfortable. The food was excellent, too. Outside, there's a lovely pool set in a beautiful, lush garden, with an exceptional view of the nearby Anse Figuier beach.
