Luxury beach house with spectacular sea view and pool

The living area was nicely laid out, the beds were comfortable, and the beachfront location was a real plus. We stayed at Les Estivales Beachfront Suites & Penthouses with LOV for five days, though one bedroom was noticeably small, which was limiting with a child. Getting a gas cylinder replaced for the barbecue was a hassle and disrupted our dinner plans. Daily cleaning also cost extra, which felt unreasonable over five days with a young child. We had arrived early and found the check-in fee steep. We tried to negotiate, but couldn’t get a reasonable deal. For a luxury apartment, I expected more flexible policies and helpful service. The property itself has potential and was comfortable, but the service didn’t match the premium price.

For the price we paid and the star rating, I’d consider staying here again, but I’d expect better quality if I were paying a premium. The sofa was very dirty and covered in water stains, and the old furniture needs fixing or replacing. The living room faces the sun, has no AC, and its fan wasn’t working either. We were also given an apartment with a very small balcony, even though the booking showed a large one. There were good points too. The place was clean, there’s a small pool and access to a private beach close to the sea. Subash was very friendly, always available and helpful. The bus stop is nearby, though we used a car and don’t know the routes. The supermarket is 3 kilometer away.

Wendy at the office was so helpful and friendly, and can arrange shuttles for the airport and outings. Popo is within walking distance for groceries, and there are several restaurants nearby. The bus stop is right outside the gate, which made trips to Grand Baie and Port Louis on the local bus really convenient. We stayed for two weeks at the end of Aug in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment right on the beach. Everything was perfect.

There’s loads of space, and the apartment faces the ocean. It’s simple and minimalist, with all the basics available, including crockery, pots, and pans for cooking. A good dishwasher would make it a little better, but everything else was very good. I’d definitely recommend it for a chance to relax and rewind.
