The airport cab the hotel arranged cost just 80 MVR, and the staff also helped line up the timing for our transfer to the resort, so getting around was easy. They were courteous and quick to help throughout. We liked the English breakfast, especially the tea and fresh fruit. The seer fish was only okay, but the portion and price felt fair. Being close to the beach made it easy to take walks by the water in the morning and evening. There were lovely spots nearby to watch both sunrise and sunset. Feni marts were close by for snacks, drinks, and everyday things, and the friendly people in Hulhumalé helped us feel safe and at ease. It was a comfortable stay with good service, and we'd recommend it to visitors.

We checked out just two hours after arriving. The place was dirty and felt extremely cramped, more like a hostel than a three-star hotel, and we could hear everything through the closed door. It looked nothing like the photos. As a woman, I also got strange looks here, which hadn't happened anywhere else. Pay a few dollars more and stay somewhere else.

The view and location were good, but the room was awful. We had booked their priciest option, the Junior Suite, and everything in it felt old. There was a bulge in the ceiling, possibly from a roof leak, and the shower didn't work. They hadn't provided a toothbrush or anything else, and the towels seemed older than the hotel. Breakfast was saggy noodles with a fried egg. I wouldn't recommend it.

The view was even better than the good location, but the room felt worn and there were no toiletries at all. Breakfast was a joke: a dry chicken sandwich, an average sausage, and just a few fruit slices. The food we ordered was decent, though still bland.

Vista Beach Hotel was a relaxing place to stay, and being near the airport was handy. There are sea-view and non-sea-view rooms. The compact non-sea-view option was still comfortable for a short visit, while the sea-view rooms had more space and a stunning outlook.
