Stingray Beach Inn

Having to go to another building or hotel for check-in, check-out, and breakfast was another ridiculous part of the stay. The staff said both places were owned by the same company. I don't know why the concerned government body lets this establishment operate like this. I don't know the country's laws, but in other places in the normal world this would be called cheating and ripping off innocent customers. I booked through an agent at what was said to be a 3 star hotel. Online checking websites call it Stingray Beach Inn 3 star hotel, but the sign on the front gate says Stingray Restaurant. There are 10 rooms, and all are in a dilapidated state. You don't have to be a genius to see you're screwed and about to spend your vacation or stay there. The door didn't open smoothly or close properly, and there was a gap between it and the frame. People could see through the gap and the glass in the door unless you used the curtains, so there was no privacy. The room smelled bad, plaster was falling from parts of the walls, and there was mold in some spots. Sand kept falling onto me while I was sitting or sleeping. I first thought it was coming through the AC, so I turned it off, but the sand kept coming. Staff told me there was a lot of sand inside the ceiling. When I checked above, I saw scotch tape over the ceiling joints. I complained at reception, but they said they couldn't do anything because I'd booked through an agent. They offered to move me to one of the other nine rooms, but that room was even worse. The walls did little to block sound, and I could hear conversations and other noises from the next room or people passing by. It felt like sleeping on the street. There's also a construction site next door, so good luck getting a quiet night, or any sleep at all.
