The Hive Beach Hotel

In a great spot, right in front of the beach and Dive Club Center. If you’re a diver, this is the best hotel for you 👍🏽. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it’s great value for money.

We used the airport transfer both ways, and it was convenient and well organized. Our flight was early, so on departure day the hotel packed breakfast for us to take along, a thoughtful touch. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our two-night stay, and the rooms were fairly good, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast wasn’t bad either. The jacuzzi wasn’t working. It takes up a lot of space for no reason, and it seems like it may not have worked at all. This isn’t a luxury stay, but it offers good value and what you need for a comfortable, stress-free visit. I’d recommend it for the clean rooms, helpful service, and airport transfers.

The water pressure on the fifth floor was extremely low. I also had a stressful mix-up with the airport taxi. It had been prepaid and scheduled for 1:00 PM. I checked out at 12:00 PM and told the receptionist to arrange pickup, but at the airport the driver said I had to pay the fare myself. He called the hotel, and the receptionist said she’d thought it was an emergency request. It may have been a simple miscommunication, but it was disappointing after everything had been arranged in advance. I hope they improve communication so this doesn’t happen to other guests.

The location is perfect, right by the ocean. It’s a nice, home-style hotel with cozy beds, polite and attentive service, and rooms that are clean enough. The restaurant is pretty cheap, and breakfast is nice, around 5-8 USD. The walls are thin, so you can hear outside sounds. On the plus side, the WiFi is powerful, there’s a big-screened TV and hot water, and it has all the basic things you need.
