Oblu Xperience Ailafushi Hotel

The water villa was beautiful, with amazing sea colors, though the weather was cloudy for most of our stay. The resort is close to the airport, so getting there was easy. Some parts of the experience disappointed us. The food fell below expectations, and “All Inclusive” felt more like full board, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner while many other items and services cost extra. The free photo session was advertised as 20 minutes, but after booking, changing clothes, and taking lots of nice photos, we learned only ONE was included. Each extra photo cost $25, which should have been explained beforehand. I also asked about taking a regular scheduled speedboat to Male city, since boats run all day for airport transfers, but was quoted $69 per person despite not asking for a private transfer. There were many children and families around, so couples looking for privacy and romance may not find it ideal for a honeymoon. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it for that. In the same price range, there are better Maldives options for a more premium, romantic stay.

We stayed five days and would come back. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the people, staff included, were friendly. There’s a nice gym, too. The included restaurant was good, though meals got a little repetitive. Extras like lobster-night and the under-water restaurant are expensive, but, oh my god, the lobster was good, and the under-water meal felt almost like a must. Easily the most luxurious vacation we’ve had. So magical, I’d absolutely recommend it.

We spent 5 days and 4 nights at a beautiful resort in Ailafushi, and everything was easy to join and well organised, from snorkeling and water sports to evening entertainment and places to relax or take photos. The island has soft white sand, clear water, and a peaceful feel. Our modern room was spotless and made the most of the ocean views, and housekeeping kept it fresh and tidy. Meals had plenty of variety and were delicious, whether breakfast by the beach or dinner under the stars. Most of all, the staff made us feel welcome, cared for, and relaxed from the moment we arrived. Their service was consistently top-notch and every interaction felt warm and genuine. Our five-day stay was wonderful. For comfort, great service, and beautiful surroundings in the Maldives, I’d highly recommend Ailafushi and would absolutely return.

A lovely place to slow down, switch off, and enjoy the Maldives. Ailafushi is beautiful, and the sunsets and quiet evenings made it feel especially peaceful. The resort has an easy, comfortable vibe, and the staff are friendly and genuinely helpful. One handy detail: the power sockets are European, so adapters aren’t needed. We brought ours for nothing and had a good laugh about it.
