Alesia Hotel Boutique & Spa

The grounds are beautiful and well looked after, and the rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. There's good internet and comfortable spots to work, plus a lovely pool area with lots of room to sit in the sun. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was slow, though maybe I'm just used to eating as soon as I order. It's a little far from the city area, and there aren't many nearby places to walk, but that wasn't a big deal.

I left feeling completely disappointed, and wouldn't recommend this place. The breakfast that came with the booking was awful: burnt chilaquiles with barely any salsa, cold eggs, and nothing else. The outdoor pool was included, but it was so cold that it was impossible to use in this season. I chose the hotel for the indoor pool, only to find it cost extra and had to be booked and paid for by the hour. Staff only suggested I raise the issue on Booking and in the end-of-stay survey. The price felt far too high for what was offered, and the Booking price also left out local taxes. I didn't feel the location was very safe.

I loved the breakfast, and the customer service was excellent. Everyone made an effort to look after us. The rooms and building are beautiful, there's a community pool and jacuzzi, and parking is gated. It's a relaxing spot away from the city, though El Centro is just down the street.

The decor and AC were good, but the service was awful and it wasn't worth the money. On arrival they charged me twice, saying they don't honor third-party bookings. When I explained how inconvenient that was, they said they didn't care. The website promised valet parking and a bellhop, but neither was available. This isn't a three-star hotel or a boutique hotel. The Marriott by Altaria has better service.
